Facilities Operations Engineer Position Information Company Samsung Austin Semiconductor, Llc (SAS)Location Austin, TexasDescription Common EssentialDuties & Resp. Responsible for the design and coordination of mechanical systems to support utility service to the manufacturing site. Design mechanical systems, coordinates mechanical projects, estimates mechanical costs, and inspects mechanical systems, trains technicians and other engineers. Design instrumentation and control equipment, coordinate instrumentation and control projects, design control loops and sequences. Familiar with air handling systems, industrial chilled water systems, process piping systems, ultra-pure water systems, chemical treatment systems, rotating equipment, vibration analysis, and heat transfer. Responsible for monitoring current system demands and capacity concerns Perform detail analysis of utility systems operations as compared to design Support operations and equipment maintenance groups with mechanical engineering support Develop list of potential energy conservation projects a. Perform cost/benefit analysis b. Develop necessary resource requirements if approved. (i.e. labor, material, controls, software, etc) c. Coordinate installation and commissioning d. Develop standard operating procedures and assist in implementation e. Train facilities personnel on new system and proper operationsBackground /Experience Strong Data and system analysis, troubleshooting, teamwork and communication skills. AutoCad experience a plus.Necessary Skills /Attributes Must have completed a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
