Physical Therapy Aide - AUSTIN

Title: Physical Therapy Aide

Status: Full-Time

Location: AUSTIN

Supervisor: Supervising Physical Therapist

Summary: Assist Physical Therapists with providing treatment to injured patients, with the goal of improving their strength, flexibility, and fitness; relieving their pain; and improving their quality of life.

Principle Responsibilities:
Confers with physical therapy staff to aid in treatment.
Aid patients with their exercise and modalities. Observe patients during treatment.
Prepares therapy equipment. Maintain the treatment area in clean and organized state.
Provides support to all other functions of the clinic including, but not limited to testing, filing, and shared cleaning responsibilities as needed.
Greets patients and provide quality customer service.

Qualifications:
The successful completion of an accredited technical Physical Therapist Aide program or one (1) year experience as a PT Aide.
Or
The successful completion of an accredited technical Medical Assistant program or one (1) year experience as a MA.
Internet, E-mail and Basic Word Processing skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with diverse clients.

Preferred:
Spanish/English bilingual
