Kelly IT is a national staffing organization specializing in offering the flexibility of temporary, temp-to-hire and direct-hire IT positions. We are currently working with one of our phenomenal software partners who is seeking a dedicated Deployment/Release Engineer. This position offers the chance to work with a well-established team in a growing company which has a strong reputation in Austin.
This is a permanent positon paying at 70-80K per year. The candidate will be experienced writing object-oriented web applications with structured exception handling and have extensive experience writing perl scripts including CPAN modules, web services in PHP, and working with XML, XSLT, XML Schema, regular expressions, and relational databases. You should be proficient creating secure web applications with HTML, javascript, ajax and jquery on the client side and PHP/MySQL on the back end and have experience working in a test-driven development environment with continuous integration. And you should be comfortable working in an agile environment with short iteration cycles. Job Requirements You must be competent with: Languages: Perl, PHP, Javascript Skills: XML, XSLT, XML Schema, regular expressions, CRON Platforms: Zend Framework for PHP or equivalent MVC , Perl 5, Subversion Development Environments: Zend Studio or Komodo. Database: Mysql 5.5 including complex joins, triggers, stored procedures Bonus Skills: Ant, Phing, Linux shell scripting, SOAP, WSDL, Apache config file management, ETL This position should expect to complete tasks as required independently and with minimum support for executive staff. The optimal candidate should have strong abilities to grasp new technologies and acquire new skills through independent study and interaction with other team members. The optimal candidate will have a good mix of development experience, good time management and communication skills. Required Skills: BS, BA in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, MIS or relevant technology degree or Relevant work experience in similar environment Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities Must be able to execute all tasks with exceptional attention to detail. Must have ability and desire to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced start-up environment and be able to handle several projects and tasks simultaneously. Must possess excellent time management and prioritization skills
