Advocacy and Engagement Intern (Sports Media/PR/Broadcasting)
Advocacy and Engagement interns will help as we work to make cancer a national priority through grassroots advocacy and public policy initiatives. Tasks may include researching grassroots advocacy practices, communicating with advocates, preparing analysis reports on grassroots strategies and helping coordinate advocacy outreach communications.
Requirements:
Applicants must be available to work 12-20 hours per week during regular business hours at HQ in Austin, Texas.
Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high level of computer competency.
Applicants should be self-motivated, organized, willing to help with any project no matter how large or small, and able to balance multiple priorities at once.
Applicants must have a strong desire to make a difference, a passion for the mission, a positive attitude and an affinity for the color yellow.
Applicants must be able to provide their own housing and transportation; mastery of parallel parking is a plus.
